Five Gaza Terrorists Killed While Planning Attacks on Troops, Israel Says
The IDF announced the deaths of five Gaza terrorists, including Hamas commanders, who were planning attacks on Israeli soldiers.
Jerusalem, 2 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday confirmed the deaths of five Gaza terrorists in recent days, thwarting what it said were imminent attacks on soldiers.
Among those killed were Salem Faiz Hamed Karika, a Hamas Shajaiyah Battalion operative involved in explosives preparation and sniper attack planning; Saeed Faiz Saeed Shamali, commander of a Nukhba unit; and Ahmed Ali Abd al-Rahim Khalas, who headed a sniper unit in another Gaza-based terror group.
The IDF said two additional Hamas commanders involved in planting explosive devices were also eliminated.
