Jerusalem, 1 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Commander of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) Land Arm, Major General Nadav Lotan, lauded the armored corps for its service in Gaza stating, “The current recruitment for the Armored Corps comes at a time when the corps has proven its importance at the heart of maneuver in the last war, and has achieved significant operational successes in all sectors.”

His comments came during a visit to visited the Tel Hashomer base on Sunday where the major fall conscription cycle for new combat recruits is underway.

“Beyond the power of the tank and the advanced platform, what makes the armor what it is – is the spirit of the people: commitment, mutual responsibility, and cohesion that has no substitute,” added Lotan. “The force stands today before a promising future, with significant empowerment processes that will continue to strengthen its capabilities and its contribution to Israel’s security.”
