Jerusalem, 12 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In what the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) described as an “unusual incident” that occurred a short time ago (Wednesday evening) in the Janina neighborhood of Rafah, Gaza. This is the neighborhood where the “terror pocket” of 150 terrorists who are fortified underground is located – the ones who the US is pressuring Israel to allow to evacuate to the area of Gaza under Hamas’ control.

The IDF said it is possible that these terrorists were already eliminated by fire from its forces and that it is checking whether any of the terrorists are still active and is continuing to conduct searches.

However, a number of terrorists were seen emerging from an underground tunnel shaft near israeli forces and the IDF assessment is that these are terrorists who belong to the same “terror pocket,” and it is possible that they tried to come out of the underground following the activity of IDF forces in the area, and the understanding that they were being closed in on.
