Israels Prime Minister and Defense Minister Approve Strike to Eliminate Senior Hezbollah Terror Commander
Israel's PM Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz approved an IDF strike in Beirut to eliminate Hezbollah Radwan Force commander Malek Balout.
Jerusalem, 6 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a joint statement saying that, with their approval, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) attacked the commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, Malek Balout, in Beirut in order to eliminate him.
The Radwan terrorists, led by the commander, were responsible, said Netanyahu and Katz, for firing at Israeli settlements and harming IDF soldiers.
“No terrorist has immunity – Israel’s long arm will catch every enemy and murderer,” they said adding that they “promised to bring security to the residents of the North – this is how we do it and this is how we will do it!”
There is no word as of yet as to the results of the attack.
