Two slabs of suspected cocaine, weighing 2.2 kg, were seized from a vehicle that attempted to flee on Highway 6.

Three suspects were arrested. As part of the determined struggle waged by the Israel Police against the drug scourge, detectives from the Southern District, members of the SAHAR unit, and Southern National Guard fighters from the Border Police conducted a targeted operation last night to locate a suspect who was allegedly in possession of drugs. During the operation, a roadblock was set up on Highway 6. The driver of the suspect vehicle attempted to flee, collided with another vehicle, and fled on foot near the Beit Kama junction. Police forces engaged, pursued the suspect, and managed to apprehend him. Two additional suspects were found in the vehicle, and two slabs of a substance suspected to be cocaine, weighing a total of 2.2 kg, an additional substance suspected to be ecstasy, weighing 14 grams, and five mobile phones were seized. The three suspects, aged 22, residents of the Bedouin diaspora and Tel Sheva, were arrested and brought for interrogation at the Be’er Sheva station, after which they were incarcerated.
