Jerusalem, 5 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In light of what were described as “concrete concerns” that terrorist elements are now working to harm Israelis abroad, Israel’s National Security Council asked Israelis abroad to continue to exercise increased vigilance and observe the rules of caution.
Since the beginning of Operation “Roaring Lion” against Iran, increased motivation and expansion have been identified in the efforts of HTA (hostile terrorist activity) and threats from Iranian security agencies against Israeli and Jewish targets around the world. In addition, kinetic attack efforts are underway by Iranians in the countries of the region and around Iran, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Jordan. There is a growing concern about hitting Israeli targets, with an emphasis on these arenas.
The Security Council emphasized that, in recent days, several attempts to carry out terrorist attacks against Israelis have been thwarted and disrupted.
Also, it pointed out that the threat from lone attackers has also increased: in the US, a lone attacker carried out a shooting (on March 1) in an entertainment area in Austin, Texas, against the backdrop of the American attack on Iran. In addition, shots were fired at Jewish targets in Toronto (on March 3); although, the attacker has not yet been located.
