Israel Police arrest three suspects for defrauding elderly victims of NIS 350,000 in a suspected Russian scam operation.

According to the investigation findings, the main suspect, a 23-year-old from the Krayot, along with others, contacted the victims, presenting them with false pretenses and impersonating representatives of public bodies such as a bank and the police. During the conversations, they informed them that they had debts to institutions and, through various deceptions, stole a large amount of money from them, including the use of their credit cards, cash withdrawals from ATMs, and more. After collecting and locating the victims, taking their testimony in an orderly manner, and carrying out advanced investigative actions, the investigation moved from a covert to an overt phase. On 04.14, investigators from the unit raided the homes of the main suspect and two additional suspects, a mother and her son aged 69 and 45, residents of the Krayot, and arrested them for questioning, after which they were imprisoned. Their arrest was extended from time to time, and in the coming days, an indictment is expected against them, accompanied by a request for their detention until the end of the proceedings.
