Two Israeli Air Force Servicemen Indicted on Charges of Spying for Iran

Two Israeli Air Force servicemen have been indicted on charges of security offenses for Iranian intelligence, allegedly providing sensitive military.

Jerusalem, 23 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Two IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldiers were arrested on charges of committing security offenses for Iranian intelligence elements; the military prosecution filed an indictment Thursday morning against the two soldiers, who serve in the Air Force.

The two soldiers, who serve as technicians in the Air Force, were arrested during March 2026.

One soldier was charged with the offenses of aiding the enemy in war, providing information to the enemy, assisting in contact with a foreign agent, and additional offenses. Another soldier was charged with the offenses of contacting a foreign agent, providing information to the enemy, and additional offenses.

The two claimed in their interrogation that contact with the Iranian operators was severed after they refused to carry out missions involving weapons. However, even after the connection was severed at the operator’s initiative, they did not stop trying to renew the connection, for the purpose of financial gain.

According to the indictment, for several months the two soldiers were in contact with Iranian intelligence officials and, under their direction, carried out a variety of missions for money. One of the soldiers even passed on to an Iranian foreign agent materials from his military training relating to fighter jet systems, documentation of installations and areas at a military base.
