Israel Air Force Strikes Iran’s Energy Hub, Leaves 85% of Its Petrochemical Exports Inoperable
The Israel Air Force struck Iran's Asaluyeh petrochemical complex, crippling over 85% of its exports and impacting missile production capabilities.
Jerusalem, 6 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that the Israel Air Force struck earlier today, Monday, in the Asaluyeh area in southern Iran infrastructure in Iran’s largest petrochemical complex, which it said is responsible for producing and exporting chemical materials to forces subordinate to the regime, including Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The Asaluyeh area is located on the coast and is known as Iran’s energy industrial hub.
In doing so, the IDF struck the two central and largest petrochemical complexes in Iran and, it asserted, rendered More Than 85% of Iran’s petrochemical exports inoperable.
At the Asaluyeh site, a central infrastructure was established for producing materials used in the manufacture of explosives and propellant for ballistic missiles and other combat means, stated the IDF.
“The site constitutes a significant hub for producing essential components for the Iranian regime’s missile industry,” it said, adding that the “strike on these infrastructures will disrupt the regime’s ability to use materials produced at the facility for manufacturing various types of combat means intended to strike the State of Israel and other countries in the Middle East.”
The IDF also stated that it is “intensifying the damage to core infrastructures for producing combat means, with the aim of causing extensive and ongoing harm to the production capabilities of the Iranian terror regime, alongside significant economic damage.”
