Border Police fighters in the Coastal District arrested two suspects after a pursuit near Ma’ayan Tzvi, with a loaded pistol and assault and burglary tools found in their possession.

The vehicle’s driver did not obey the force’s instructions and began to flee the scene, with the fighters initiating a pursuit after him. After a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped in a dead end, at which point one of the suspects exited it and began to flee on foot. The fighters initiated a foot pursuit, at the end of which the suspect was arrested. An additional suspect who remained in the vehicle was also arrested at the scene. A Glock pistol, loaded with a round in the chamber and loaded magazines, was seized from the suspect who attempted to flee. In a search conducted in the vehicle, additional items were seized, including face masks, a variety of assault and burglary tools, and substances suspected to be dangerous drugs. The two suspects (from Yokneam, Ashkelon) were arrested at the scene and transferred for investigation at the Zichron Yaakov station.
