More than 1,600 KM Away: Israel Air Force Strikes Iranian Air Defense Site Near Caspian Sea
The Israel Air Force struck an Iranian air defense site near the Caspian Sea, over 1,600 km from Israel, to preserve air superiority.
Jerusalem, 30 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — As part of the waves of air strikes completed yesterday (Sun.), the Israel Air Force hit a site where the Iranian regime’s air defense systems were installed near the Caspian Sea in northern Iran.
The site was concealed within a forested area, more than 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) from the territory of the State of Israel.
The defense systems attacked at the site posed a threat to Air Force aircraft, and striking them preserves and even further expands the Air Force’s air superiority in Iranian airspace, said the IDF (Israel Defense Forces).
