Jerusalem, 28 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Col. A. assumed the position of commander of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) “Benjamin” Regional Brigade, replacing Col. L., who served in the position for the past two years, and will assume the position of attaché of the ground force in Washington.

The identities of IDF personnel in certain positions are kept secret for security reasons.

The Benjamin Brigade is responsible for security in the areas of Jerusalem, Ramallah and more.

“Today I stand here, excited and ready to take command of the Benjamin Brigade,” said Col. A. at the command handover ceremony. “I do this out of a deep mission and out of respect for the sector, the people, and the heavy responsibility that rests on my shoulders – protecting the lives of the residents, maintaining security stability. My prayer is for the return of all our hostages and for a moral and military victory over all our enemies. On my shoulders is the mission. In my heart is the mission. And in my hands is the ability to initiate, strike, and prevail.”
