Jerusalem, 29 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Last week, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service) attacked and eliminated the terrorist Ismail Al-Masri, who was responsible for military security in Hamas’s Rafah Brigade.
Al-Masri was a senior figure in Hamas’s mechanisms in the Rafah Brigade and was tasked with advancing activities aimed at undermining the Israeli military’s freedom of action in the Gaza Strip, said the IDF.
During the war, Al-Masri coordinated the security and counterintelligence domains in the Rafah Brigade and engaged in attempts to rebuild and strengthen military security, all with the aim of harming Israeli forces.
