Jerusalem, 21 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli citizen and an Israel Defense Forces soldier who were in Belgium on vacation were detained for questioning on Sunday, and released shortly afterward, Israel’s Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry and the IDF handled the matter and are in contact with the two.

Pro-Palestinian non-governmental organizations have been filing legal complaints, primarily in Europe and South America, seeking the arrest of Israeli soldiers they hope to prosecute for alleged war crimes in Gaza.
