Jerusalem, 7 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Credit card spending in Israel soared to an all-time high of NIS 51.793 billion ($15.1 billion) in july 2025, up 11.9% from July 2024, according to Sheba (Automatic Banking Services). The rebound follows the slowdown during June’s war with Iran, with average daily spending jumping 20.3% to NIS 1.671 billion ($490 million).
Both online and physical transactions set new records — online purchases exceeded NIS 30 billion for the first time, and in-person transactions surpassed NIS 21 billion ($8.74 billion). Sheba CEO Eitan Lev-Tov said the figures mark “a correction in consumption after the war against Iran,” adding that Israel is nearing a daily average of NIS 1 billion ($290 million) in online spending.
