Israeli Military Strikes Terrorist Gathering at Gaza Police Station

Jerusalem, 19 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) struck a gathering of terrorists at a police station in the Tuffah area of northern Gaza on Wednesday. At least four Hamas terrorists were present during the strike, alongside another terrorist from the Popular Resistance Committees terror organization. The IDF said it would provide further updates on the results of the strike when possible.

The military emphasized that the terrorists struck had been operating from a civilian police station to advance attacks against IDF troops in Gaza, using the site for military purposes in violation of international law.

Approximately half an hour earlier, the IDF eliminated a Hamas platoon commander who had infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 attack.
