Jerusalem, 11 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar met Monday with his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna ahead of the official opening of Israel’s new embassy in Tallinn.

Speaking at a joint press conference, Saar said it was “an exciting and festive moment in Tallinn,” but noted that “this is a difficult and painful moment in Israel,” as Lt. Hadar Goldin was being laid to rest 11 years after his abduction in Gaza.

The Foreign Minister also condemned recent Iranian plots against Israeli diplomats, including an attempt to assassinate Israel’s ambassador to Mexico. “We will not be deterred… we will continue to expand Israel’s ties around the world,” Sa’ar said.
