In a special operation by the IDF and the Mossad, we brought home the remains of Armored Corps fighter, Sergeant Major Yehuda Yekutiel Katz, may he rest in peace.

I promised their families that we will never stop working to bring them home. Today, all of us, the entire nation of Israel, embrace the Katz family. The dear parents, Sara and Yosef, may their memory be a blessing, never stopped working to locate and return him, and sadly, they have already passed away. We are returning dear Yehuda to you, his siblings Avi and Perachia – to you and to the land of Israel that he loved so much. I wish to thank the IDF, the Mossad, the Shin Bet, and the Coordinator of Captives and Missing Persons for many years of effort and for their determined and brave action to return Yehuda, may his memory be a blessing, and to return all our missing and abducted persons – the living and the fallen alike. The State of Israel and the government of Israel, under my leadership, are always committed to this, and so we will continue to do. As the Prophet Jeremiah said: “And there is hope for your future,” says the Lord, “and your children shall return to their homeland.”
