Israel Police and Shin Bet dismantle terror cell in East Jerusalem, directed by operative in France, leading to indictments against two brothers.
Due to his involvement in terrorist activity, his residency in Israel was revoked in 2022 and he moved to France. Since then, Hamouri has been in contact with terrorist elements acting on behalf of the “Shiite axis” to direct attacks and terrorist activities in Israeli territory. In this context, Hamouri exploits his origin and connections to Israeli territory to recruit local terrorist operatives, while simultaneously promoting overt activity on the Palestinian issue. As part of the Shin Bet investigation, it was revealed that during 2024 and 2025, Hamouri met with members of the cell in Europe and recruited them to establish infrastructure for carrying out terrorist activity in Israel. For this purpose, Hamouri equipped his recruits with a phone for encrypted communication. In addition, various actions carried out by the infrastructure members to promote terrorist activity in the Jerusalem area were exposed. Indictments were filed against two of those involved, brothers Yazid and Said Dadu, for offenses of active membership in a terrorist organization, prohibition of acting on property for terrorist purposes, conspiracy to commit a crime, and attempted conspiracy to commit a crime which is an act of terror.
