Sergeant Major Lidor Porat Killed in Lebanon Combat
Sergeant Major Lidor Porat, 31, from Ashdod, was killed in combat in southern Lebanon, the IDF announced, with multiple soldiers injured in the incident.
Jerusalem, 19 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) revealed that Sergeant Major (res.) Lidor Porat, 31, from Ashdod, was killed in combat in Southern Lebanon.
In the incident in which he fell, one fighter was Wounded in serious condition, four fighters in moderate condition, and four fighters in mild condition.
The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital, and their families were updated. The IDF did not provide details as to the nature of the combat in which Porat was killed.
