Jerusalem, 20 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s airline El Al is now operating free cruise ships from Cyprus for Israelis stuck abroad and trying to re-enter the country, and paid rides for those trying to leave.
An El Al spokesperson said: “El Al is offering its customers the opportunity to return to Israel by sea on a special cruise departing from Cyprus to Israel.
“El Al and Sun d’Or passengers whose flights to Israel have been canceled can choose this cruise option instead of a rescue flight, at no additional cost.
“In addition, a cruise from Israel to Cyprus is also available to the general public, with one-way tickets priced at €550.”
The boats from Cyprus will leave from Limassol Port and arrive at Ashdod in Israel.
