Lufthansa to Resume Israel Flights June 1st

Lufthansa Group will resume flights to Israel starting June 1st, with Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa Cargo leading the return.

Jerusalem, 13 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Ben Gurion Airport reported that Germany’s Lufthansa Group plans to gradually resume flights to and from Israel starting in June 2026.

The decision was made after a comprehensive security and safety assessment, it said.

Planned return stages:

Starting June 1: Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa Cargo are expected to resume operations on the >>”>Tel Aviv route.

Starting July 1: Lufthansa and SWISS plan to resume flights.

Mid July: Eurowings is expected to return to Tel Aviv.

Brussels Airlines has extended its suspension of flights to Ben Gurion Airport until October 24.

Ben Gurion Airport recommended that passengers continue checking directly with the airline before booking or arriving at the airport.
