>>”>Jerusalem, 10 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Transportion launched a pilot program aimed at preventing the misuse of disabled parking permits through a new mobile application called “I Parked.” The free app allows permit holders to activate only one registered vehicle at a time, blocking the common abuse of using a single disabled badge for two cars simultaneously.

The pilot will initially operate in 30 designated disabled parking spaces in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Drivers must activate the app before parking, while municipal inspectors will be able to verify compliance in real time. Transport Minister Miri Regev said the initiative is intended to ensure disabled parking spaces remain available “for those who really need them.”
