International Airlines Gradually Restore Flights to Israel

Nine international airlines, including Etihad and Hainan, are gradually restoring flights to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport this week.

Jerusalem, 12 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Nine foreign airlines are set to gradually resume flights to and from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport this week, according to the Israel Airports Authority, as air travel begins recovering from a month of war with Iran.

Bluebird Airways restarted limited daily service to Athens on Sunday, with TUS Airways expected to follow on Tuesday. Additional carriers, including Etihad, Ethiopian Airlines and Smartwings, are due to resume partial operations on Wednesday. Hainan Airlines plans to restart Tel Aviv–Beijing flights on Thursday, while Red Wings, Georgian Airways and FlyOne are slated to return on Friday.

Officials say negotiations for further airline resumptions are in progress.
