National Report on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Released
Israel's Authority for the Prohibition of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing released its biennial report on 2024-2025 trends.
Jerusalem, 10 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Authority for the Prohibition of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing released its biennial report that reveals the main trends and risks in the areas of money laundering and terrorist financing in Israel, as well as exclusive data regarding economic crime in the years 2024-2025.
The report provides extensive information about the regime for the prohibition of money laundering and terrorist financing and reviews the trends, risks and criminal patterns identified by the Authority in the past year, and also includes statistical and quantitative data regarding the Authority’s activities.
The most significant money laundering patterns identified over the past two years were international activity (approximately 20% in 2024 and approximately 21% in 2025) and the exploitation of financial service providers (approximately 13% in 2024 and approximately 15% in 2025). Money laundering through the use of cash in 2024-2025 accounted for approximately 10% and 11% (respectively) of the money laundering patterns identified.
In addition, the use of virtual assets for money laundering and terrorist financing continued to increase, accounting for over 6% of the money laundering patterns identified in 2025.
