Tel Aviv-Based Quantum Machines Reaches 99.5% Two-Qubit Fidelity
Tel Aviv's Quantum Machines reports 99.5% two-qubit gate fidelity on Rigetti's Novera processor, a significant leap in quantum computing performance.
>>”>Jerusalem, 27 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Quantum Machines (QM), a Tel Aviv-based quantum computing infrastructure company, announced it has achieved 99.5% median two-qubit gate fidelity while operating Rigetti Computing’s Novera superconducting quantum processing unit using its OPX1000 hardware and QUAlibrate software. The companies said the result reflects full-system performance across all 11 qubit couplings and represents what QM described as the highest Novera performance achieved to date with a control systems partner.
The 9-qubit Novera QPU, designed for on-premises research use, was calibrated and operated on-site by QM engineers. The system also recorded 99.93% median single-qubit fidelity.
According to the companies, the results demonstrate that superconducting quantum processors can achieve high-fidelity, system-wide performance using external control, calibration, and orchestration infrastructure, supporting broader deployment in research laboratories and commercial environments.
