Israeli Security Forces Break Up Pro-Terror Rally at Birzeit University

Israeli security forces dispersed a pro-terrorism rally at Birzeit University near Ramallah, responding to stone-throwing and violent disorder.

Jerusalem, 6 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that, in recent days, an intelligence indication emerged regarding a rally in support for terrorism that took place today (Monday) in the area of Birzeit University, located by Ramallah.

With the start of the gathering, IDF forces and Border Police entered the university area, used means for dispersing demonstrations, carried out warning shots into the air only, and dispersed the gathering.

Later, another violent disorder developed involving hundreds of suspects, which included throwing stones and rocks from rooftops in the area toward the forces in a manner that posed an immediate threat to them.

The forces responded with means for dispersing demonstrations and firing toward key violent activists.
