Jerusalem, 3 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — IDF observers identified a suspect approaching the Israel border fence in southern Syria earlier Friday, the military said. Israeli Forces opened warning fire, and a hit was confirmed.

The IDF said troops from the 210th Division remain deployed in the security zone in southern Syria to protect Israeli civilians, particularly residents of the Golan Heights.

In a separate incident, the IDF said Hezbollah fired a rocket on Friday that landed inside a UNIFIL position in the Al-Adaisa area of southern Lebanon.

According to the military, three UN personnel were wounded in the strike, two of them seriously. The IDF said an examination of the launch trajectory clearly showed the fire was carried out by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

The military said Hezbollah continues to operate while endangering international forces and harming UN personnel in the area.
