EOD Neutralizes Cluster Bomb Duds in Coastal District

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) forces of the Coastal District continue their activity in the field at this hour to neutralize unexploded submunitions and request the public to increase vigilance. A cluster bomb disperses a large number of submunitions in the area, posing a threat over a wide area. Many of them remain in the field in a “dud” state and are sensitive to any touch, movement, or jolt that could detonate them immediately, thus endangering lives. If you encounter a suspicious object resembling a submunition, move away from the area and dial 100. Only police EOD technicians are authorized to safely handle, neutralize, and clear the area. Civilian discipline saves lives.
