Israel Space Agency Calls for Proposals for CubeSats for New Artemis Missions

The Israel Space Agency is inviting proposals for CubeSat payloads for NASA's Artemis 3, 4, and 5 missions, expanding its role in space exploration.

Jerusalem, 11 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Looking ahead to the Artemis 3, 4 and 5 missions, and within the framework of Israel’s partnership in the “Artemis Agreements,” the Israel Space Agency is inviting research, academic and industrial organizations to submit proposals for 6U and 12U CubeSat (a class of miniaturized, standardized satellites) payloads for future Artemis missions.

Although the specific mission profiles are still in the process of being finalized, NASA anticipates being able to enable the integration of 6U and 12U CubeSats, which will be launched after the Orion spacecraft separates from the SLS launch system, in Earth orbit or in heliocentric orbit. There may also be opportunities for CubeSats to be launched on a re-entry trajectory from Earth orbit.

NASA plans to make a limited number of these flight opportunities available to international space agencies. The flight opportunities will support shared science and space exploration goals. Proposal selection and assignment to missions will be based on proposal and hardware maturity, technical feasibility, and implementation of international agreements.
