Jerusalem, 21 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Tuesday issued a stark warning to Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, saying he would “pay with the loss of his head” for attacks on Israel, during remarks at an annual ceremony honoring fallen soldiers in Jerusalem.
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I ordered the [Israel Defense Forces] to act with strength, even during the ceasefire, in order to defend our soldiers in Lebanon against every threat,” Katz said. “Our duty to the northern residents remains clear and unequivocal: to bring security.”
Katz also vowed action against Hezbollah threats north of the Litani River.
