Israel Signals Imminent Strikes In Tyre, Urges Civilians To Move North
Israel's IDF is poised to strike Hezbollah in Tyre, urging civilians to move north of the Zahrani River following threats to the Christian Quarter.
Jerusalem, 9 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel warned Residents Of the southern Lebanese city of Tyre to evacuate on Tuesday morning ahead of strikes on Hezbollah positions there.
“As we warned in the past days, following Hezbollah elements’ actions inside the Christian Quarter in the city, the Israel Defense Forces will be compelled to act against their terrorist activities in the quarter in the near term,” Col. Avichay Adraee, the Israel Defense Forces’ Arabic language spokesperson tweeted.
Residents were instructed to move north beyond the Zahrani River.
