Jerusalem, 28 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) confirmed that Captain David Hazut, 21 years old, from Ashkelon, a platoon commander in the Golani Infantry Brigade, fell in combat in southern Lebanon.

The circumstances of his death were not disclosed.

Another soldier was lightly wounded in the incident.

The soldier was taken to a hospital for medical treatment and his family has been notified.
