Jerusalem, 8 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the Israeli public Monday evening about the events of the past 24 hours.

First, Netanyahu recounted Israel’s attacks on Iran over the past year and declared “Iran will not have nuclear weapons.”

He then compared Israel’s assaults on Iran to its attacks on Hezbollah, stating that the terror organization planned to invade the Galilee with thousands of terrorists, and simultaneously it planned to devastate Israel’s cities with 150,000 missiles and rockets.

But Israel thwarted this threat, and it continues to destroy “all their terror infrastructure in the security zone, including massive underground facilities in the Beaufort Ridge.”

“Iran and Hezbollah are weaker than ever,” Netanyahu declared, “and we are stronger than ever — but our struggle with them is not yet over.”

“As I have done for decades,” he added, “I firmly stand by our right to act against our enemies. This is what we did now as well.”

“After Hezbollah fired into Israeli territory, I ordered the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) to strike terror targets in Beirut, and to eliminate Hezbollah operatives there. We did so.”

“After Iran attacked Israel, I directed the IDF to strike military and economic targets throughout Iran. We did that too.”

Netanyahu then asserted that Iran ceased its missile attacks on Israel because Israel struck Iran in response.

“Should the terror regime in Iran make the mistake and resume attacking us — we will respond with force.,” he pledged then declare that, “Israel has full right to self-defense and we exercise it as required.”
