Two calendars, one year

Israel and the diaspora in 2029

The dates above are diaspora dates, where most yom tov days are doubled: Passover runs 8 days and opens with two seder nights, Shavuot runs 2 days, and Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah fall on separate days.

In Israel each of those is a day shorter: seven days of Passover with one seder, a single day of Shavuot, and Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah kept together. The evening a festival starts is the same either way, so the first two columns of the table hold for both.
