Forces of the 13th Battalion, under the command of the 7th Brigade Combat Team, continue to operate in southern Lebanon. As part of an operation in the area, the battalion’s forces, in cooperation with the Yahalom Unit, destroyed an underground tunnel used by Hezbollah terrorist organization operatives to organize for terrorist activity against IDF forces. The tunnel was destroyed after searches were conducted within it. The IDF will continue to operate forcefully against the Hezbollah terrorist organization and will not allow harm to the citizens of the State of Israel.
