Joint statement from theand the Shin Bet Spokesperson: In a precise strike to neutralize a threat in the northern Gaza Strip: The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated the deputy commander of the Gaza City Brigade in the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization. IDF and Shin Bet forces attacked and eliminated the terrorist Emad Hassan Hussein Aslim last Wednesday (D’), the deputy commander of the Gaza City Brigade and commander of the Zeitoun Battalion in the organization’s military wing, who commanded raids by the battalion’s terrorists into Israeli territory during the October 7th massacre. In recent years, and particularly recently, the terrorist Aslim advanced dozens of terrorist plans against IDF forces operating in the Gaza Strip, and therefore posed an immediate threat. Another commander in the Hamas terrorist organization was present at the infrastructure that was attacked; the results of the elimination are under examination. IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the plan and will continue to operate to neutralize any immediate threat.
