$132 Million to Fortify Southern Israel Communities
KKL-JNF allocates $132 million to fortify southern Israel, enhancing Gaza border communities with infrastructure, education, and community development funds.
Jerusalem, 19 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The KKL-JNF Board of Directors approved on Monday a series of major investments aimed at strengthening southern Israel and advancing the rehabilitation of Gaza border communities affected by the October 7 attacks and the war.
The investments cover infrastructure, agriculture, public buildings, education, culture, commemoration, and initiatives to strengthen communities and encourage population growth.
The investments include $64 million for infrastructure and development, $19 million for three multidisciplinary educational hubs, $10.7 million for Arava growth, $10 million over three years to support community-building groups, and $2.7 million for cultural events.
