Jerusalem, 15 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Environmental Protection and Health Ministries report that high to very high air pollution persists today across most of the country. The pollution, caused by respirable dust transported from North Africa by southwest winds yesterday, is settling slowly.

Sensitive groups — including heart and lung patients, the elderly, children, and pregnant women — are advised to avoid strenuous outdoor activity, while the general population should reduce it. Air quality is expected to improve gradually today, with moderate to high pollution forecast nationwide on Monday.
