Jerusalem, 4 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — About 30 Israeli high school students from Hadera were hospitalized after suffering eye injuries during graduation celebrations involving foam sprays, the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera said.

According to the hospital, the teenagers were participating in a “Rondo” parade during which they threw foam, flour, and eggs at each other on Sunday. Doctors reported cases of eye burns and corneal injuries requiring treatment, though most were mild to moderate. The hospital said no irreversible damage was caused, and all the students were discharged with eye drops.

Hospital staff warned that foam sprays, common at graduation events, can cause serious eye injuries and should be used cautiously, with protective eyewear.
