Shake Up at Top of Israels International Intelligence Agency

Mossad Director Roman Gofman has replaced Deputy Director A., recognizing his 22 years of service and contributions to Israeli security.

Jerusalem, 7 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The newly installed director of the Mossad (Israel’s international intelligence agency), Roman Gofman, informed A., the deputy director of the Mossad, of his decision to end his term in office. (The names of Mossad personnel are kept secret for security reasons.)

The Mossad Director said he intends to Appoint a new deputy from within the organization.

Gofman expressed his “deep appreciation to A.” for his 22 years of operational service in the Mossad and his significant contribution to the security of the > 🇮🇱🇦🇷”>State of Israel.

During his service, A. operated at the forefront of the organization’s operational activities in three operational wings, commanded two of them and led a series of groundbreaking operations. He was decorated with five Israel Security Awards for his achievements.

A. wished the Mossad Director great success in his position and made it clear that he will continue to make his experience and abilities available to the Mossad and the State of Israel as needed.

The move was made as part of Gofman’s assumption of office, which seeks to “shape the senior leadership team that will accompany him in realizing the goals and challenges facing the organization in the coming years.”
