Israels Chief Spy Appoints New Operations Directorate Chief
Mossad chief Roman Gofman appointed the classified official "A." as deputy head and head of Operations, approved by PM Netanyahu.
Jerusalem, 11 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Roman Gofman, head of the Mossad (Israel’s international intelligence agency), announced Thursday his decision to appoint A. to the position of deputy head of the Mossad and the next head of its Operations Directorate.
The appointment was approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
A. has served in a variety of roles at the core of operational activities and brings with him knowledge, experience, and in-depth familiarity with the organization and will assume the position immediately.
In Israel the identities of senior intelligence officials are classified.
