Israeli retail sales revenue decreased by 0.3% in early 2026, but food chain revenues saw an 8.8% increase, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Jerusalem, 13 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the preliminary data on revenue (sales) of the marketing chains in the months of January – March 2026.

January – March 2026 (annualized trend data): A decrease of 0.3% (at constant prices) in total retail chain revenue, after an increase of 3.6% (at constant prices) in the three months October – December 2025.

January – March 2026 (annualized trend data): An increase of 8.8% (at constant prices) in food chain revenue, after an increase of 9.0% (at constant prices) in October – December 2025.
