Israel Sees Mixed Trends in Imports of Major Appliances
Israel's Tax Authority reported mixed appliance import trends in May 2026, with refrigerators and washing machines rising, while dryers and dishwashers saw.
Jerusalem, 9 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Tax Authority reported that in May 2026, compared to May 2025, there was a mixed trend in imports of white goods (major appliances). Refrigerators and washing machines increased by 9.25% and 37.3%, respectively. Imports of tumble dryers and dishwashers, on the other hand, decreased by 54.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
Since the beginning of the year, imports of refrigerators, dryers, and dishwashers have decreased by 9.0%, 56.5%, and 5.5%, respectively. Imports of washing machines have increased by 14.6%.
Television imports recorded a decrease of 43.9% compared to May 2025. This followed a sharp increase in April 2026 compared to the same month last year. Cumulatively, in January – May 2026, there was a moderate decrease of 1.6%
