Jerusalem, 1 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In view of the continuing shortage of labor in the trade and service sectors and the need to ensure the continued smooth operation of businesses in these sectors, Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry is issuing an allocation of up to 5,000 permits for the employment of Foreign Workers.

Up to 1,000 permits will be allocated to employers who have not previously received a recommendation to employ Foreign Workers in the trade and services industry.

The remainder of the quota, amounting to up to 4,000 permits, is intended for employers who have previously received a recommendation to employ foreign Workers in the trade and services industry, and who have not yet exhausted their full eligibility in accordance with the provisions of the procedure.
