Jerusalem, 29 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — IsraAID, Israel’s Largest non-governmental humanitarian aid organization, has sent an emergency team to Venezuela following deadly earthquakes that struck the country. IsraAID’s initial emergency team arrived in Venezuela yesterday, Sunday.

The team includes emergency response experts from the organization’s global emergency team as well as humanitarian staff from the organization’s delegation in neighboring Colombia. It focuses on the fields of mental health and psychological first aid, water, sanitation and hygiene, as well as rapid needs assessment in affected communities.

As of now, the confirmed number of casualties stands at over 1,450 dead, over 3,000 injured, and over 12,700 displaced. All this while search and rescue operations continue and the full scope of the disaster is still becoming clear.
