FM Saar: Israel Blocked Gaza-Bound Flotilla, Participants Unharmed

Israeli FM Gideon Sa'ar confirmed the IDF blocked a Gaza flotilla, with participants unharmed and to be disembarked in Greece.

Jerusalem, 30 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said the IDF has so far successfully blocked attempts to breach what he described as the lawful naval blockade on Gaza, including the arrival of vessels from a “provocative flotilla” overnight.

In a message on X, FM Sa’ar said all flotilla participants removed from the vessels were unharmed.

According to the minister, individuals transferred from the flotilla vessels to an Israeli vessel will be disembarked on a Greek beach in the coming hours, in coordination with the Greek government.
He thanked Athens for its willingness to receive the flotilla participants.

Sa’ar also urged anyone seeking to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza to do so through the Board of Peace (BOP), which, as he pointed out, also issued a statement on the matter.

Israel will not allow the breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza,” Sa’ar said.
