U.S. Marines Tap Israels Smart Shooter System to Boost Accuracy Against Drone Threats
The U.S. Marine Corps has awarded Israel's Smart Shooter a $3.4 million contract to equip Marines with advanced AI rifle sights for drone defense.
Jerusalem, 9 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli defense-tech company Smart Shooter has secured a new contract with the U.S. Marine Corps to Supply its rifle-mounted, AI-assisted fire control system, the SMASH 3000SA. The system is designed to improve accuracy ag against fast-moving targets, including small unmanned aerial drones.
The base agreement is valued at $3.4 million, with an additional $2.4 million option for spare parts, training and further systems. Deliveries are expected mainly in late 2026, with some services extending into early 2027.
