Jerusalem, 14 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli defense technology company Kela Technologies signed a framework agreement with Israeli sensor developer Innoviz Technologies Ltd. to procure up to several hundred advanced laser-based detection sensors for military and homeland security use, the companies announced Tuesday.

The sensors use laser pulses to create detailed three-dimensional maps of surrounding areas and will be integrated into Kela’s battlefield operations platform alongside radar, thermal imaging and other surveillance systems used in armored vehicles, border security and perimeter defense missions.

The companies said the cooperation could eventually expand to thousands of units. Kela President Hamutal Meridor said the technology would help provide operators “the sharpest possible picture of the situation and the time to act on it.”
