Israel Receives New U.S. Refueling Jet to Extend Strike Range
Israel's Air Force received its first U.S.-made Boeing KC-46 "Gideon" refueling jet at Nevatim Air Base, boosting fighter jet capabilities.
Jerusalem, 27 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli Air Force received the first of six U.S.-made refueling aircraft in a ceremony at the Nevatim Air Base in southern Israel.
The Boeing KC-46 “Gideon” joins a large-scale reinforcement process that the Ministry of Defense is conducting for the Israel Defense Forces.
The refueling aircraft allow for the extension of the operational range and the time spent in the air of fighter jets, alongside innovative transport and multi-mission capabilities.
